I think the heart is worth remembering." ![]() |
"Flightless bird, American Mouth" -Iron and Wine; September 12, 2011
Media: Watercolors, ink, Sharpie, tape, Indian ink, magazine clippings, and natural leaf stamps.
Comments-
Interpret: "I think the artist created this work to express that the heart of the world is within nature." "I think that this work wants to make you think of important things in life and time."
Analyze: " What grabbed my attention first was the tree and the orange part of the sky."
Describe: "Each time I look back at your art work, I discover something new."

Whats Inside?; September 21, 2011
Media: Sharpie, magazine clippings, Mod Podge, and Indian Ink.
Comments-
Interpret: "In order to have peace you need war...'' "She trying to say that things need to get worse before they can get better."
Describe: " In the middle, it says war but it is kind of hidden. There is a lot of magazine clippings of people and war related scenes. Also, she drew a man that has a head of a heart with a gun shooting at him."

Puppet; October 28, 2011
Media: Pastels, oil pastels, watercolor, and ink.
I like the whole idea of my puppet and the giant eye in the background. I don't like the media we had to use for the Still Life project. I would add a heart, more detail, and more patterns.

We'll Out With a Bang; November 17, 2011
Media: Tempera paint, watercolor paint, rubber glue, glitter, acrylic paint, Sharpie, and Indian ink.
Comments-
I really like the symbolism of the gun and the cigarette. I still love using my hearts and heart head in everything I do. I don't like the monochromatic color scheme and the striped background to the right. I would add color to the sun and a different background for the right side of the heart head.

Honored Eye; November 28, 2011
Media: Tempera paint, acrylic paint, watercolor paint, and Sharpie.
Comments-
I really like the color scheme (triad; purple, green, and orange) and the eye of the cyclopes. The eye represents honor and how it can overcome a person and infect every part of them. I don't like sticking with one color scheme; I would of liked to add a little red into the painting. I would change some of the proportions, and a different color scheme.

Head IV (copy) by Francis Bacon
Media: Acrylic, tempera, and gel medium.
Comments:
Ceiling tile inspirational project by Francis Bacon. I feel like I could of done better and I should have used masking tape for the glass box.

I made the painting in my sketchbook in Art 3 and really loved it. It's one of my pieces that turned out just like envisioned it. The painting was easy, some of the shading was challenging, but not as challenging as cutting the magazine into the shapes of the hand. I learned how to shade the human better and cropping into pass artworks. ![]() Reckless, 2013 | ![]() Nightmares, 2013 Dreams being nightmares. ![]() Nothing But Flesh, 2013 ![]() No Matter How Hard We Try We'll Always Be Treated Differently, 2013 Media: Watercolor, sharpie and magazine clippings. She is all he thinks about but her lover never thinks of her (thinks of everyone else). It was created in my house and was completed in two hours. The art work was fairly easy but confusing, because I didn't know where it was going. I learned how to incorporate multiple images to create one piece of work. My goal is to use multi-media. ![]() Peace, 2013 |

Rise Above The Ashes, 2013 8.5 skateboard Media: Paper, Sharpie, Spray paint, Polymer Gel Medium, Stencils Subject: Skateboard Contest This project focuses on the dangers of smoking and the pressures from society. This project has to be the hardest project I've ever worked on. The first night I started working on the skateboard's layout, I started at 11:36 pm and didn't finish until 6:30 am. I learned how to work wth spray paint and maybe found what I want to do in college. Overall, the project had taken me over 20 hours to complete to turn in. On the top of the board is the number 443,000, which is the number of Americans that die from smoking each year. When people see the board, I hope they rise from the pressure of society and others. ![]() | Fear No Evil, 2013 Media: Paper, watercolor, sharpie Subject: Choice project This project was the most fun, confusing and easiest painting I've ever done. I love using watercolor and sharpie, it's also one thing that interested me to take art class. The painting goes along with the saying "In the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil." which is contradicting in the paint. Meaning that death is the only thing in the way of your dreams. Everything is possible if you know how to get pass the thoughts of impossible. For example, I will never stop painting and doing what I love, no matter what people say. I learned more about myself and how to mix/drip watercolor the right way.
